Collect a PADI Basic Mermaid and PADI Mermaid Certification from this double-packed session of unforgettable moments with The Seattle Mermaid School. Join us for a 3 hour dry educational session. Explore proper pre-dive procedures featuring safe swim gear prep, mermaid costume selection, and chat with a seasoned professional about makeup application techniques for aquatic performance. Then, take a deeper dive into the physics of aquatic performance and understanding the human body as you advance your skillset as an aquatic entertainer. Learn to work with your body and the potentially disorienting abnormalities of closed-water aquatic environments to craft seamless mermaid-like swims. Break for lunch, then catch back up with the Alchemist at Juanita Aquatics Center to show off your skills, practice the breathing and motion exercises we talked about in the classroom, and collect a world-recognized water safety and freediving certification specialized to mermaid performance. Take your mermaid career to the next step by certifying your dives! In order to reserve regular pool space, this course is pay-in-advance. A minimum of 2 students is required. This course requires a Physician's signature for participation with some medical conditions. See our FAQ for a complete list. Our refund and cancellation policy has been detailed below for your convenience: Cancellations: One hundred percent (100%) of payment is refundable if the reservation is canceled by the apprentice eight (8) days or more before the scheduled course starts. Seventy percent (70%) of payment is refundable if the reservation is canceled by the apprentice three (3) days or more before the scheduled course. Payment is non-refundable if the reservation is canceled by the Apprentice less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled course starts. Rescheduling: Rescheduling lessons with The Seattle Mermaid School is subject to current lesson availability. If there is a lesson available for transfer, and the School is notified eight (8) days or more before the scheduled course starts, the full amount of lesson payment can be applied to the later session. Seventy percent (70%) of the original payment is transferable to the new date if the original reservation is canceled by the apprentice three (3) days or more before the scheduled course starts. Payment is non-transferable if the transfer is requested by the Apprentice less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled course starts.
